For the Love of Books: April Reads

I don't know about you guys, but I am a big reader (bet you never would have guessed that ;)  ). So here are the books that I read in April, and what I thought! Not many this last month!

Sense and Sensibility

First of all, let me just say that for the first 200 pages of this book when I was reading it, I thought that the cover was a picture of a woman's arm reaching over a man. I really don't know how I didn't see that it was just a woman's dress, not a man's jacket...
Anyway. I hated this book.
I know, all the Jane Austen fans have just vowed to never read my blog again. Hang on there! I don't hate Jane Austen. This is only the second book that I've read by her. I just had a really hard time getting into it.

Clone Codes

Yet another book that I didn't realize was in a series. But, I really liked it. It was short, it was nice. I liked the juxtaposition of a futuristic society with the Slave codes.
A quick read and not a bad one if you want to try it out! I hear that it's a trilogy and I think they're all out! So you can blow through them if you're a fast reader. If you read the other ones though, let me know if you like them!

The Fault in Our Stars
The Fault in Our Stars
I finally can cross this one off my list of books! I wanted to read it before the movie came out and my dear HATRED! lent it to me because trying to get it from the library is ridiculous.
I liked it. It was different than I was expecting, not that I really had a lot of expectations. Just a heads up, there is language in the book. I don't like language in books, but understandable considering the subject matter.
John Green has such a different voice in this book than any book I have read. It was refreshing.
If you were wondering, no, I didn't cry.
But it was good!

Sadly, this is probably the least number of books I have ever read in one month before. I'm more than halfway through Adventurers Wanted and less than 200 pages left in The Way of Kings. I kinda jumped around this last month.

What books did you read this last month? Any recommendations? If you read any of the above books, what did you think?

Have a great Saturday!
