Anyway, onto the books for June! (I'm seriously considering joining a book club, because seriously, who doesn't love talking about books??)
The Fall of Five
I thought that this was going to be the last book in the series! Why, oh why do I do this to myself? I really could not tell you...
I wasn't super impressed though. Maybe I won't finish this series after all.
Anne of Green Gables
I'd never read this book before last month. In fact, to be quite honest, I didn't hear about Anne of Green Gables until I was in high school. I was informed that this was a travesty by Hatred and Merr so they made me watch the movies. Since my little sister and my best friend are both red heads I kind of fell in love with Anne! The book did not disappoint. I thought that it was a little slow at first, but after I got into it, I loved it!
Hereafter
I liked this book until I didn't.
You know those books where the main character falls in love with someone and there is this insurmountable obstacle keeping them apart? Well this is one of those books. Usually they resolve that though, right? Well, if you were hoping for that, then this book will disappoint you my friend. It will.
Also, I didn't know this was part of a trilogy until I just searched it... story of my life.
And last we come to my favorite books that I read this last month...
The Austin Family Chronicles
I have long loved A Ring of Endless Light. In fact, I used to check it out over and over again at the library just hoping that somehow they would see that I loved it so much that they would just give it to me (turns out that the library doesn't work that way... they will fine you for keeping your favorite book too long, even if you're the only one checking it out). Every time I read any book from this series, but especially that one, it puts me back in perspective. It's a book that still gets me asking new questions and always always inspires me to write. I really can't even explain how much that book inspired me to become a writer. Or how it just inspires me period.
Read them. I don't know how you couldn't love them. I particularly recommend A Ring of Endless Light and Meet the Austins. There's enough of a review in the books that you don't really need to read all of them or read them in order. I did place them in numerical order above though :)
So those are the books that I read. At least the ones that I finished and remembered to write down the titles!
I also bought The Book Thief last month and I am officially out of room on my shelves for new books. I'm actually a little proud of that. I really need new book shelves!
Hope you all read some great books in June! Let me know if you read any good ones! :)
