Monday Moments

Well, I had my last day at work on Friday! Now onto a new job, at least for the summer.

I am still thoroughly enjoying our new apartment. We got a new table last week! Now we just need some chairs so we can sit at it :)

We went to the Bountiful temple again this week and did a session. It looks a lot like Timpanogos to me (on the inside). Anyone else think so?

We got to go out to dinner with the Captain's Grandad on Friday night to Longhorn Steakhouse. It was SO good. Plus, it was nice to hear so many stories from Grandad and some of his takes on life. I don't feel like I got to know my grandpas very well because they all died before I was an adult, but hearing his stories made me wish that I'd known them a little better and that I'd put more effort into getting to know them before they died.

On Saturday, the Captain got to perform a wedding! His friend had originally asked him to be a groomsman, then changed his mind later. It was fun to see him tie their hands together and ask them if they promised to care for and be kind to each other. Plus, the location was gorgeous.

So that was my week! I'm working on learning to meal plan right now. I'm not so good at it. How do you meal plan?

Anyway I'm currently reading:

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Besides the use of the F-bomb every now and again I'm really enjoying it. One of the characters is blind so am loving how he describes all the smells and the sounds. The blind character is reading 20000 Leagues Under the Sea and so I'm going to have to add that to my "To Read" list (that I'll never finish)

What are you reading?

Something to think about that the Captain's Grandad said after dinner on Friday:

"Life is so simple on the one hand
and so complex on the other"

Thanks for reading! Hope to hear from you in the comments! :)
