Monday Moments

Hello, Everyone! How are you enjoying your President's Day Weekend? I have thoroughly enjoyed my three day weekend so far. Keeps me dreaming about working from home so I can do this every day ;)

Monday was Galentine's day so naturally, I had to wear my best friend locket and send a picture to my best friend.

Then on Valentine's day, she surprised me by dropping by with two roses for my husband and I :)

For Valentine's day, we made heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast.

Then after making dinner, we went to see La La Land. We chose this theater even though it was farther away from where we lived specifically for this rose.

Saturday we went on an adventure to the Brigham City Temple. I'd only ever been to the open house before so I was excited to see it again. It's a beautiful little temple. We ended up doing initiatories even though we'd been planning to do sealings. Even though the wait was long (though apparently shorter than waiting for sealings), I loved that we got to wait in the bride room.

The sweet Captain got me these notebooks and pen (and pregnancy test, no worries people, he just wanted free shipping). I've already dedicated the pink and gold one to a big project I'm working on! You'll be hearing more about it as the days go on. For now, just know that big changes are in the works!

After a cold and rainy morning, the weather turned surprisingly warm! The Captain loves Sunday walks so we took advantage of the nice weather. The views were beautiful. Even though I'm normally a fan of being as lazy as possible on Sunday, this was definitely worth it.

To-dos/Goals for the week:
  • Write one thank you note/letter
  • Practice hand lettering
  • Type 20 pages of my story
  • Plan Visiting teaching for March
  • Finish reading "Daring Greatly" by BrenĂ© Brown

  • Prepare Primary Lesson for next Sunday

Monday Moments

Hey Everyone! Happy Monday! Or, Galentine's day :) I don't know how many of you know what that means. I only learned what it really was like... a month ago. Previously I went by my little sister's definition of it being the day where we eat a gallon of ice cream.
Really the conversation went something like this.
(Me) "Have you heard of 'Galentine's day'?"
(Her) "Is that where you eat a gallon of ice cream?"

Yeah, she's pretty great!

I went to my first blogger meet up in Provo. The Captain was kind enough to come along with me. It was actually really fun. I was glad that there were people there who were more outgoing than me because I probably wouldn't have really talked to anyone otherwise.

Finally put these snaps in my journal.

I got to have a free lunch with my little sister at Zupas. I really don't get to see her often enough and it was so much fun to catch up with her.

For Galentine's I actually put on makeup, wore a red jacket, and my best friend locket. It seemed only appropriate.

To/Dos and Goals:

  • Type up more of my story
  • Make some Valentine's. At least one ;)
  • Finish reading The Shadow Queen
  • Plan a date.
  • Practice Hand Lettering

Monday Moments

Apparently, this week has mostly contained a lot of hand-lettering. Which I'm actually pretty ok with. I haven't been going to the gym lately because I think my running shoes are getting too old. I'm starting to get afraid that I'll injure myself since one of my feet has been hurting me every time after I run.
Instead, I went on two walks this last week.

I got into the dentist again, just before our insurance ran out. My mouth feels so much better now, unfortunately, it still isn't healed up or something because it still hurts me a bit!

Since our church is over at noon now I am enjoying all the extra time in the afternoons. Last Sunday I made this Thank you card for my in-laws for letting us come and spend Christmas with them. I really enjoyed playing around and designing the card and the envelope.

I've been lettering love quotes from Authors this month. I had so much fun that I made it into a printable. I'll probably try and do another card for this Thursday so if you have a request, let me know!

This was the quote that I played with yesterday! I've also started doing some hand-lettering worksheets.

Valentines Day | Free Printable

Hey, everyone! How is your week going? I always seem to forget that holidays are coming. I watch all the other people putting things out the day before. Then I sit there and think... oh yeah, I was going to do something for that. How did it sneak up so fast?

Not this year! I started playing around with this quote. We started watching Z: The Beginning of Everything. So I decided to try my hand at making a printable so you can make a card for the special someone in your life.

Let me know if you try it! Also, since this was my first time making a printable, let me know if it doesn't work! :) Supposedly you just click the picture below to print it!

What is your favorite love quote?
