Monday Moments

Hey, everyone! This last week was a good one! Which I'm realizing that I took almost no pictures of... oh well! It happens. To be fair, I had a few days where I did almost nothing.

I started off the week pretty well. I ran. I walked. I recovered from our road trip... why is it that vacations take so much energy? I usually feel like I need a vacation from my vacation by the time I get back. Anyway, I spent Monday recovering mostly. I didn't even unpack until halfway through the week (pretty much, unless I unpack immediately, there's a good chance I won't unpack for a week or two).

Wednesday night I was supposed to go to dinner with my best friend from high school and another of our friends from high school, but it ended up just being me and my best friend. Which was fine. I actually had felt sick all that day so it was nice to just hang with her for a few hours and then have her take me home.

Thursday I had a Twilight Marathon with my little sister. I know, most people hate Twilight, but we love them. We love them and we make fun of them, it's a good balance. We started at about 9 in the morning, napped through parts of the first movie, then broke for lunch after the second movie. We decided we needed a roast chicken so we went to Sam's Club and ended up coming home with a box of apple turnovers in addition to the roast chicken. It was AMAZING. We basically snacked on that the rest of the day.

Friday was a marathon day for me because we'd gotten a text asking us to feed the missionaries early in the week. We picked Friday, which meant that I needed to decide what to make them, go buy the ingredients, prepare the dinner, clean the apartment, and assemble two chairs since we only had two chairs to sit on and we thought it would be rude to make the missionaries eat standing up...
So I was busy the whole day. By the end of it, my back was pretty unhappy, but it all turned out pretty well. They seemed to like the dinner and didn't stay forever, which was nice!

It was a week! I had fun, but I can't say I'm unhappy that it's over and this week looks a little calmer.

-John Wooden

Thanks again for reading! Sorry for the lack of pictures this week! I'll work on it ;) What are your plans for the 4th of July?
