Monday Moments

Hey, guys! How was your week? This last week felt pretty eventful for me. I'm amazed by how quickly summer is passing by. It always seems like it goes slowly when I'm not working, but this summer I've had so much going on that its gone by faster and faster. In fact, I was planning to do Camp NaNoWriMo again this July, but I honestly totally forgot that it was time to start that until two days ago. Yeah... How are we already almost halfway through July?

Speaking of, 21 days until my birthday! A little boy in my Sunday School class has the same birthday as me so yesterday he asked me how many days until our birthday and I counted it out for him. It was actually his last Sunday in my class since he's moving and it was very eventful! I'm going to miss him and the stories he would tell me and in turn the stories that I could tell Brian. Like how yesterday he threw a squishy frog toy at a spider (and I'm actually pretty sure he killed it).

In case you were wondering... Here is my amazon wish list... and here is my pinterest board of things I want... Just in case ;)

Monday I went up to Park City for the day with my Mom and little sister and Step-dad. We went swimming, but honestly, I didn't swim much! The water was WAY too cold! I was a little disappointed actually, I feel like I haven't been swimming in awhile. Also, I love this suit, I feel like i get compliments on it every time I wear it.

For lunch, we went to Cafe Rio where we waited in the slowest line in history. Luckily it was amazing. I haven't been there in forever and it was just what I needed.

Friday I went to Citris Grill with some friends. I realize now that I should have gotten a picture of all three of us instead of just what I ordered for dinner... oh well! This was the butternut squash fettuccine alfredo. Once again, not impressed. This was my second time at Citris Grill and I haven't really liked it either time. Any enthusiasts out there who can recommend me something amazing? This wasn't bad, but it was a little sweeter than I liked. It was giving me flashbacks to the time that I made homemade macaroni and cheese with vanilla soy milk... don't do it. It's not a good idea.

Saturday we did this beautiful and terrible hike. Red pines. It was supposed to be 6.5 miles. It ended up being 7.6 miles. It's gorgeous. I'm not going to get into the details of it because I'll probably do a longer post about it later in the week!

Currently Reading:

Matched By Allie Condie*
A Ring of Endless Light by Madeleine L'Engle*
The Tempest by William Shakespeare
Divergent by Veronica Roth

* means I started and finished these books between my last monday moments post and this one

Goals/To do this week:

-Do more watercolor
-Get out and exercise every day
-Be kind to myself
-Read more than I watch
-Write more than last week
-Study some poetry
-Stay off Social media

Random:

-This last week I've seriously considered quitting all social media and shutting down this blog. Mainly because I've been really hard on myself. Don't worry! I'm here for the time being.
-I've also thought about cutting my hair. I'm not sure if I'm just bored or what. I do get sick of trying to grow it out and it always taking forever. The struggle is real.

Something to take away:

"Don't place your worth in anything that can be taken away."

I have no idea who said that but it's something I keep reminding myself. Especially with social media and things like that. We are all worth more than the number of likes or number of friends we have online.

Thanks for reading! What adventures have you gone on this week? What books are you reading? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!
