Monday Moments

So now that everyone knows the big news being honest about life is going to be a lot easier. For example, last week we went to Lagoon and I didn't ride any of the rides. Brian posted on Facebook about how it was weird to ride the roller coasters alone, but because we hadn't told everyone we were pregnant yet, he told them I didn't like roller coasters. Which I do. I really like roller coasters (as long as I've taken some Dramamine first...) and it really bugged me that people were going to think that I didn't like roller coasters. I know that's a weird thing to worry about, especially since I'm not a roller coaster fanatic or anything, but it was suddenly really important to me that we tell everyone so that we could tell people the real reason I didn't ride the roller coasters...

I read that you're supposed to get 30 minutes of exercise almost every day of pregnancy so I've been trying to go on walks every day. Not that I've been entirely successful, but it's kept me moving a lot more than I would have this summer.

I recently made a goal to make two "For Real" meals a week. We tend to eat just about the same things every week. Pasta (usually with vinegar, oil, and seasoning), rice, quinoa, potatoes... you get the gist. So I wanted to try and do some other recipes, for the sake of variety as well as the fact that I really enjoy trying out new recipes. So if you have any stellar recipes, send them my way! This is what I made last week and it was AMAZING. I recommend it. I should also mention that I only ended up making 1 "for real" meal last week, but hey, baby steps.

For Prime day I ordered myself a Kindle Paperwhite. I have been wanting one since last November. I asked for it for Christmas but no one got it for me. I actually had Christmas money that I could have used to buy it right after Christmas, but it wasn't on sale anymore. So I looked up when it was supposed to be cheap again and they said to wait until Prime day. So I saved my pennies and waited. I almost didn't buy it because my birthday is so close, but the chances seemed pretty slim that someone would buy it for me and I didn't want to wait until the November sales again. So I splurged! I have loved it and already read 4 books on it even though it only came on Thursday. I've been impressed that the battery is still going, even though it wasn't fully charged when it came!

You may have noticed that I bounce around systems. Sometimes I do a variation of a bullet journal, sometimes just a weekly list like this. Either way, I usually need something to keep me from wasting my whole day away.

Currently Reading:

The Austin Family Series By Madeleine L'Engle
The Tempest By William Shakespeare
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl By Anne Frank

To Do/ Goals for the week:

-Make two for real meals
-Study a new poem
-Finish reading The Tempest
-Make Banana bread
-Do couple council
-Write in my journal 5xs
-Send out a package or two

A Few Random Facts:

"Stay close to people who feel like sunlight."

-Xan Oku

Did you take advantage of Prime day? How do you keep yourself productive? What is your favorite recipe?
